Del Posto Lease Battle: Your Reservations Safe for Now
Thursday, May 18, 2006
From Metro section in the Times:
A State Supreme Court justice has issued a preliminary injunction against a landlord that has been feuding with one of its tenants, Del Posto, a restaurant whose owners include the chef Mario Batali. The preliminary injunction, filed this week, instructs the landlord to allow the restaurant to continue operation while the case moves on. The landlord, Blenheim L.L.C., is seeking Del Posto’s eviction. Del Posto opened last year after $12 million in renovations. Blenheim maintains that Del Posto, at 85 10th Avenue, near 16th Street, installed equipment in space not covered by the restaurant's $130,000-a-year lease.
